  • Comprehensive Zoning Map Process—The 2024 Comprehensive Zoning Map Process (CZMP) began on September 1, 2023 and will conclude in September of 2024. Planning Board Public Hearings are scheduled for Tuesdays and Thursdays in February. Anyone wishing to testify can register in advance using the online speaker registration form. (The registration form will be available two days prior to the hearing date.) 

    Due to inclement weather, the CZMP Council District 3 public hearing for Tuesday, February 13, 2024 will be held virtually via Webex. The hearing will begin online at 6 p.m. Speaker registration will close at 6:15 p.m. 

  • Maryland Agricultural Land Preservation Foundation (MALPF)—The 2024 MALPF easement application period has begun and will remain open to submissions until Tuesday, April 30. MALPF is a cooperative program with the State and County, and is the main Agricultural Land Easement Program in the County. 

  • Formulation has begun of the Capital Improvement Program (CIP) for fiscal year (FY) 2025 through FY 2030. On January 18 at 4 p.m. the County Executive will introduce the CIP process. He’ll be describing fiscal parameters and outlining his priorities for FY 2025 to 2030 Capital Budget and Program to the Planning Board. At 5:30 p.m. the Department of Public Works and Transportation will present their CIP request to the Planning Board. View the Planning Board schedule.

  • Maryland Sustainable Communities Renewal—The Sustainable Communities designation must be renewed every five years. These renewal applications provide an opportunity for local governments to involve the community in developing a five-year vision for their area, to outline new strategies and set new priorities. The following designations are currently being pursued:

  • Master Plan 2030—Baltimore County has released the draft of Master Plan 2030. The public is invited to provide testimony at the County Council Master Plan 2030 public hearings in February. Anyone wishing to testify can register in advance using the online speaker registration form. (The registration form will be available on the day of the hearing.)
