Deed Transfer and Recordation

The Transfer and Recordation Section is responsible for reviewing all deeds and other property-related documents prior to a document being finalized and recorded by the Land Records Office of the Circuit Court. The section also ascertains and collects all transfer and recordation taxes due the County.

New and Safer Way to Request a Lien Certificate

You can now request and pay for a lien certificate online. In the online portal, you will be asked to create an account. If you already have an account, please use your existing username and password.

Once logged in, under the Online Payments tab, select "Lien Application Payment" as your transaction type. Complete all required fields and follow the prompts to complete your lien certificate order.

Once your lien certificate request is complete and paid for, allow 10 working days for a lien certificate to be emailed. If the email address submitted is invalid, the lien certificate will be mailed to the address provided.
