Public Comments Needed

Baltimore County invites comments on its Consolidated Annual Performance Evaluation Report (CAPER) for Federal Fiscal Year 2017 and County Fiscal Year 2018 (PDF), which describes how the County used federal Community Development Block Grant, HOME Investment Partnership Act and Emergency Solutions Grant funds during County Fiscal Year 2018. The public comment period closes on September 27, 2018 at 9 a.m. Comments may be sent in writing to Andrea Van Arsdale, Director of the Baltimore County Department of Planning, via email (preferred) at avanarsdale@baltimorecountymd.gov or by mail at the address above. A written summary of comments received by September 27 will be included in the CAPER. The report is due to Housing and Urban Development (HUD) on September 28, 2018.

Citizen Input Meeting on the Capital Improvement Program

The Baltimore County Planning Board, in conjunction with County agencies, has scheduled its annual citizen input meeting on the Capital Improvement Program for Fiscal Years 2020 to 2025 for Thursday, October 18, at 5 p.m., in the Jefferson Building, Room 104, 105 West Chesapeake Avenue in Towson.

The Baltimore County Department of Planning implements programs and projects that strengthen existing communities, improve housing opportunities, revitalize older commercial centers and preserve rural resources. The Department formulates policies, plans and regulations to guide the County’s growth and development for future generations.
