Baltimore County Career Centers' virtual workshops provide a classroom experience in your home or workplace.

Our virtual workshops will include portions of our curriculum, subject matter experts and enrichment areas. Our goal is to open our resources and services to the community and help support your professional needs regardless of whether you come to a Career Center or not.

Review basic and intermediate strategies for effective performance in job interviews. In this course, discover interview preparation strategies, receive tips and tricks for logistical needs, review attire requirements, understand tactics for succeeding in virtual interviews and dive into commonly asked questions and follow up.

Maryland Legal Aid

Free Legal Advice Sessions

Free virtual help from Maryland Legal Aid is available for your civil legal issues. Maryland Legal Aid attorneys can provide free legal advice to individuals who are financially eligible by email or telephone.

Virtual advice is available for a variety of civil legal issues including:

  • Bankruptcy
  • Child custody and support
  • Debt collection
  • Expungements
  • Government benefits
  • Housing
  • Landlord and tenant
  • Veterans’ benefits
  • Unemployment benefits

Resume Writing Strategies

Understand that your resume serves as an introduction to potential employers and serves to summarize your education, experience and expertise. Discover effective strategies for writing winning resumes and the core components of a resume. This virtual training is designed to teach you resume fundamentals that you can take and build upon.

By harnessing the power of the LinkedIn platform, you can tap into an expansive network of professionals, companies and groups in your industry and beyond. In this course, discover how to make the most of your LinkedIn account. Follow Oliver Schinkten as he explains how to build a LinkedIn profile, expand your network, look for new career opportunities, join groups, share updates, and contribute your own thought leadership. Oliver also explores privacy settings and account types. When you finish this course, you'll have the tools needed to grow your career by leveraging LinkedIn.
