EPS Variances

The Department of Environmental Protection and Sustainability (EPS) publishes a list of the environmental administrative variance requests along with their status. The requests are listed by County Council District.

Planning Board Meetings

The board will meet in-person in the Jefferson Building, 105 West Chesapeake Avenue, Room 104, Towson, Maryland 21204, as follows:

  • Thursday, November 7, at 4 p.m.
  • Thursday, November 21, at 4 p.m.

DESIGN REVIEW PANEL MEETING

Agricultural Land Preservation Advisory Board Meeting

The advisory board will meet in-person on Wednesday, November 13, at 6:30 p.m. at the Baltimore County Center for Maryland Agriculture, 1114 Shawan Road, Cockeysville, Maryland 21030. Recreation and Parks Board Meeting

The Board of Recreation and Parks will meet on Wednesday, November 13, at 6 p.m. at the Woodlawn Community Center, 2120 Gwynn Oak Avenue, Woodlawn, Maryland 21207. Please check the Board of Recreation and Parks page for the meeting agenda and any last-minute schedule changes.

Recreation and Parks Open House and Community Listening Session

The Department of Recreation and Parks is excited to announce a Fall “Open House” series to hear from communities and share information about department initiatives and activities. These interactive sessions will offer the general public an opportunity to engage with department staff, hear about exciting capital projects in development and learn about programming opportunities in the community. Open to recreation and nature enthusiasts, families, seniors, and all who call Baltimore County home!

In October, sessions were held at Eastern Regional Park, Randallstown Community Center and the Middle River Recreation Activity Center. To wrap up the series, the final open house is scheduled on Wednesday, November 6, from 6:30 to 8 p.m., at the Oregon Ridge Lodge, Sequoia Room, 13401 Beaver Dam Road, Cockeysville, 21030.

Department of Planning Workshops

The Department of Planning has contracted with the Maryland Association of Nonprofit Organizations (MANO) to coordinate a series of workshops with funding from the federal American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA). Workshops are for organizations that are ARPA-eligible who are serving an impacted or disproportionately impacted class or population from the pandemic, or who serve those in an ARPA-impacted area. Other organizations are welcome to attend.

Creative Marketing and Strategic Communications for Nonprofits

On Thursday, November 7, from 9:30 to 11 a.m., join the department and MANO for a workshop on how nonprofits, community-based organizations, and community associations can creatively and strategically market their programs and services while enhancing the communications to those they serve. Bridging Communities: Enhancing Connections with Diverse Populations

On Thursday, November 14, from 9:30 to 11 a.m., join the department and MANO for a workshop on empowering nonprofit and community-based organizations in reaching and effectively engaging diverse audiences, with a specific focus on immigrants and non-English speakers. Fall 2024 BaltCo Litter Blitz

This November, the Department of Environmental Protection and Sustainability (DEPS) invites your group to host a BaltCo Litter Blitz cleanup from November 1 to 30. Visit the Litter Blitz interactive hub website to preregister(link is external) and place your cleanup on the map. Your Litter Blitz event can be private, or you can provide your contact information to invite volunteers to participate. DEPS offers a small quantity of free work gloves and trash bags while supplies last.

Patapsco Sewershed Meter Basin 10 Rehabilitation

Baltimore County is rehabilitating more than 60,000 feet of sanitary sewer line in Catonsville. Work started in August 2021 and is about 99 percent complete. The main lines have been completed and crews continue to vacuum test manholes. The cleaning and lining project will cost $4 million.

Patapsco Sewershed Meter Basin 7 Rehabilitation

Baltimore County is rehabilitating more than 73,000 feet of sanitary sewer line in Catonsville. The cleaning and lining project will cost $4,989,140. Work started in May 2023. The project is 75 percent complete.

Woodwind Sewage Pumping Station Rehabilitation

Baltimore County is renovating the Woodwind Sewage Pumping Station. The contractor has mobilized on site and has begun excavating for the new work. The project is 71 percent complete. The cost is $860,000.

Catonsville Water Pumping Station Rehabilitation

Baltimore County is renovating the Catonsville Water Pumping Station. It's 76 percent complete. The cost is $16.4 million.

Development Meetings and Zoning Hearings

Development Meetings include Community Input, Concept Plan, County Review, Development Review Committee and Hearing Officers Hearings.

Zoning Hearings include Special Exceptions, Variances and other issues before the Office of Administrative Hearings of Baltimore County.

These meetings are virtual through Webex.
