A moving permit is required when relocating a building to a new lot or different section of the existing lot.

Required Documents

You must provide the following when submitting your permit application.

  • Rat Eradication Letter—Must be completed by a licensed pest control company prior to issuance.
  • Site plan
  • If on well/septic—Site plan required.
  • If moving from one property to another—Detailed map for route from beginning to end.
  • If it is crossing a bridge—Contact the Department of Public Works and Transportation.
  • If using County roads—Contact the Baltimore County Police Department.
  • If using State Roads—Contact State Police.
