Review and Make All Updates in Workday
Using your County-assigned login, active employees are encouraged to review and update the following information in Workday:
- Personal information
- Address
- Emergency contacts
- New hire enrollment
- Benefit life events (adoption, birth, marriage, loss of coverage, etc.)
- Life insurance beneficiaries
- Direct deposit
- Payment elections
Please report any non-benefit discrepancies in Workday to your department's HR liaison. For benefit-related changes, you can update those directly in Workday. Find additional benefits information and announcements.
Workday Help
Visit the Workday Resources website to access training and reference resources at any time, including presentations, quick reference cards, on-demand videos, news, announcements and more. Note: You must have a Microsoft Office 365 account to access these resources.
Advantage Employee Self Services (ESS)
Advantage ESS is only used to view and download pay stubs and W2s prior to May 2023, when the County transitioned to Workday. All other information can be found, accessed and updated in Workday.
If you are an active County employee, refer to instructions on BCPoint regarding how to access the Advantage ESS system via the internal County network.
If your employment with the County has terminated and you require prior year W2s from Advantage (years 2022 or 2021), please reach out to the Payroll team by emailing payroll_obf@baltimorecountymd.gov with the details of your request and include a callback number. Please also include the Subject line “Request for Advantage ESS Information” in your email.
Baltimore County Payroll cannot email any tax or earning records. They can be faxed or sent via encrypted electronic services for free. You can work with our office to determine the safest way to deliver your documents.
