Program Leadership Employment Opportunities
The Department of Recreation and Parks community offices regularly accept applications for employees who work on an as-needed, on-call basis in the local communities assisting with recreation and nature programs.

- Job definition: Responsible for the planning and implementation of a specialized program in areas such as Therapeutic Recreation, arts, child care and nature.
- Examples of duties: To plan and organize a program of activities for children, oversee the use of facilities, assist groups in planning and carrying out programs, meet with community citizens groups, supervise and train volunteers, see that the facility is maintained in a safe and satisfactory condition and that the program meets certification standards, prepare budget estimates, maintain and submit financial time and service records and be available to staff, parents and children.

- Examples of duties: Organize, supervise and instruct a variety of social recreational activities, oversee the use of facilities, assist groups in planning and carrying out programs, keep records, prepare publicity, meet with community citizens groups, supervise and train volunteer leaders, see that the center is maintained in a safe and satisfactory condition and perform other duties as assigned.
