Baltimore County operates a single-stream materials recovery facility (MRF) at 10275 Beaver Dam Road, Cockeysville, Maryland 21030. The facility processes:
- Aluminum
- Cardboard
- Paper
- Plastic variants
- Steel cans
The County markets recovered recyclable material on a monthly basis. We accept bids for the next month’s materials approximately 10 working days prior to the end of the current month. Bids are due four days prior to the last working day before the end of the month (the schedule may change for holidays). The County will email pricing requests to vendors who have purchased or expressed interest in purchasing recyclable commodities. Pricing requests will also be posted on this page.

Quality Tests
The next quality test will be held on Wednesday, December 13, at 10 a.m. If you are interested in observing, email recyclingbids@baltimorecountymd.gov to coordinate a visit. The next bid period is scheduled to start on Thursday, December 14, with bids due on Friday, December 22, at noon.
