A permit is required for all sprinkler systems.

Required Documents

You must provide the following when submitting your permit application.

  • Construction Plans
  • Structural Certificate—If required by Fire Prevention. 
  • Certification by a Licensed Engineer—Water service piping and vaults where installed prior to July 1, 2010 and cannot provide sufficient water pressure to power the automatic sprinkler system pursuant to NFPA 13D of Section P2904 of the IRC.   • Statement of Justification—The cost of correction measures required to meet such standard presents an unreasonable hardship, including a description of the associated costs involved.
