The Baltimore County Office of Housing is participating in a new Baltimore Regional Project-Based Voucher Program with five other public housing agencies, the Baltimore Metropolitan Council (BMC), and the Baltimore Regional Housing Partnership. The collaboration is making a total of 100 vouchers available to developments that will also be candidates for Low Income Housing Tax Credits in the Maryland Department of Housing and Community Development's 2016 round. For additional information view the announcement and the request for proposals (RFP). A pre-proposal conference will be held on August 16, 2016, starting at 9:30 a.m., at BMC. Proposals are due to BMC by September 23, 2016, at 3:30 p.m.
The Baltimore County Office of Housing is committed to administering the following rental assistance programs to effectively address the housing needs of low-income families:
The Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) Program helps low-income families or elderly/disabled persons pay their rent.
The Family Self-Sufficiency Program helps Section 8 participants achieve economic independence.
The HUD-Veterans Affairs Supportive Housing (HUD-VASH) voucher program assists homeless veterans.
