Watershed Management Program
The watershed management program develops watershed plans and strategies in collaboration with community partners, especially local watershed associations, to meet pollution reduction requirements to protect Baltimore County's water resources.
Baltimore County consists of 14 major watersheds. Watershed managers evaluate protection and restoration strategies for the natural resources throughout our watersheds. Small Watershed Action Plans (SWAP) are being developed collaboratively with citizens, businesses, farmers and watershed organizations. Technical watershed plans have been developed for the 10 urban watersheds in the county. The executive summaries for these are available on each watershed page.
