There are a variety of housing choices, but the most appropriate one will depend on an individual's finances, lifestyle and health. The Department of Aging does not endorse specific housing facilities, and this list may not be complete. Facilities still in the planning stages are not listed. Senior Housing Retirement Communities
These retirement communities provide meals and limited services to keep residents living independently in their own apartment. There is a modest entrance fee, and a yearly rental lease. Assisted living is also provided on-site.
