COVID-19 Coronavirus Updates and Guidance

The County is taking a number of actions to keep residents safe and minimize the spread of COVID-19. Find status information for County operations and services.

Baltimore County Government

Open

 

Baltimore County general government offices are operating on a normal schedule. Any exceptions for specific agencies or programs will be noted in the chart below.

If you have a necessary, but non-emergency medical need, please call 410-887-2222 and speak to the officer on duty for further information.

Real-Time Storm Information

  • The Bureau of Highways Snow Center is manned 24-hours-a-day during storms. The Snow Center coordinates between plow crews, emergency services and the community. The number at the Highways Snow Center is 410-887-3560.
  • The County's Road Closures application lists roads currently closed due to repairs, accidents, weather or other hazards.

Recreation Centers

To assist in keeping staff, volunteers, participants and residents safe and minimize the spread of the COVID-19 virus, the Department of Recreation and Parks will be following all State Executive Orders related to youth sports activities. All Department of Recreation and Parks buildings are closed to the public until further notice.

In partnership with multiple county agencies and regional partners, Baltimore County Recreation and Parks is offering limited food distribution for families on Saturdays, starting at 10a.m. on a first come, first-served basis. Trash and Recycling Drop-Off Centers

All three drop-off centers are currently in service with normal operating hours (including the usual holiday schedule). However, visitors and employees are now required to wear masks onsite and adhere to all social distancing guidelines. These requirements will be strictly enforced. Driver's licenses will still be scanned to confirm residency.

Trash, recycling and yard material collections are running normally; please follow your regularly-scheduled collection days for all materials (including the usual holiday schedule).

Senior Centers

Out of an abundance of caution, activities at Baltimore County Senior Centers will be suspended. Based on state guidance, all Baltimore County senior centers will be closed to the public beginning on Monday, March 16, until further notice. County officials encourage individuals to coordinate with senior center staff to ensure they are prepared for the closure, and we encourage those individuals to call the Maryland Access Point hotline at 410-887-2594.

The Circuit Court for Baltimore County will be closed on Monday, January 18 for Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
