Social Services Highlights

  • Need health insurance? Visit today. If you’ve had a big change in your life, such as moving to Maryland or losing coverage through your job, sign up at Maryland Health Connection. It’s the only place you can get financial help with your health plan. In fact, 9 out of 10 people who got covered through Maryland Health Connection got financial help to lower the cost of their plan.

  • If you are looking for a warm environment with access to water and bathrooms, then Baltimore County has several “warming centers” available where you can get relief from the cold.

  • Save Time: Send Us Your Paperwork—If you receive benefits from the Department of Social Services, you can save time by sending us your documents. If you have verification paperwork that needs to be turned in, email them to baltimorecounty.dmc@maryland.govfax them to 410-853-3025 or 410-853-3212, or mail them to:

Services and Resources

If you need help with your Medical Assistance, Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) or Temporary Cash Assistance or to ask questions about your case, call the Department of Human Services (DHS) Call Center at 1-800-332-6347. To appeal a case that has been denied, call 410-853-3319.
