On September 30, 1997 at 10:54 p.m., Baltimore County Police responded to a call for shots fired at 180 Winters Lane, 21228. Upon their arrival, they found 36-year-old Donnielle Rheubottom lying in the middle of the roadway. Rheubottom had sustained a gunshot wound to the upper body and was pronounced deceased at the scene. 

A witness reported that Rheubottom was approached by a suspect who asked him for a cigarette. The suspect then displayed a handgun and demanded money from Rheubottom. The witness fled and then heard a gunshot. The suspect was described as a black male, 18 to 25 years old, six-feet tall with a thin build.

Anyone with information regarding this case may be eligible for a cash reward of up to $2,000.
