Investigation Underway in Pikesville

Baltimore County Police Department Homicide Detectives are investigating the circumstances surrounding a fatal shooting that occurred Thursday afternoon in the Unit Block of Hawthorne Ave., 21208.

At approximately 2:45 p.m., officers from the Pikesville Precinct responded to the scene of a reported shooting. When officers arrived, they located 20-year-old Caron Means suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to an area hospital where he was pronounced deceased. At this time, detectives believe this is an isolated incident, and there is no active threat to the community.
