Arrest made in August Homicide
UPDATE December 2, 2024
On November 25, Baltimore County detectives arrested 31-year-old Kevin Martin in the August 3, 2024, homicide of 29-year-old Tracey Hankins Jr. This incident occurred in the 6800 block of Liberty Road. Martin is currently being held without bond at the Baltimore County Detention Center.
ORIGINAL August 4, 2024
On August 03, 2024, at 10:05 p.m., officers from the Pikesville Precinct responded to the 6800 block of Liberty Rd., 21207, for a shots fired call. When officers arrived on the scene, they located an adult male who was unresponsive, suffering from apparent gunshot wounds to the upper body. The victim was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced deceased by medical staff. The victim was identified as 29-year-old Tracey Wayman Hankins Jr. The victim was transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner for an autopsy to determine the cause of death. Baltimore County Homicide detectives have now taken over this investigation.
