Department Unveils INFO Center to Enhance Real-Time Policing and Public Safety
Today, the Baltimore County Police Department unveiled its new Information Nexus For Operations (INFO) Center. This state-of-the-art hub provides officers in the field with the most up-to-date information in real time as they respond to calls for service. Officers no longer need to simultaneously navigate the real world and digital world en route to a call. By leveraging technology, the INFO Center allows officers in the field to operate more efficiently and effectively with greater situational awareness. Through utilizing the INFO Center, officers have a highly skilled team of law enforcement experts available to monitor cameras, identify potential suspects, and provide real-time intelligence as incidents unfold.
“By equipping officers with timely and actionable information, the Department is enhancing both officer safety and the quality of service being provided,” said Police Chief Robert O. McCullough. “When a situation is evolving quickly, the INFO Center serves as a platform that puts the right information into the hands of the right people at the right time.”
As the policing landscape continues to evolve, Chief Robert O. McCullough remains committed to utilizing innovation to shape the future of public safety. In the coming weeks, the Chief is expected to announce additional programs that incorporate state-of-the-art technology to respond to calls for service throughout parts of Baltimore County.
