On Sunday, March 3, 2024, just before 7:00 a.m., Precinct 11 – Essex officers responded to a crash that occurred in the 200 block of Back River Neck Rd, 21221. A preliminary investigation determined a 2016 Toyota Corolla was traveling southbound on Back River Neck Rd, when the vehicle left the roadway and struck a pole. The driver, 64-year-old Barry Stokes, was transported to an area hospital where he was pronounced deceased. Detectives assigned to the Baltimore County Crash Team continue to investigate this case.
