UPDATE January 31, 2024 (1:30 p.m.)

Homicide detectives with the Baltimore County Police Department have arrested 29-year-old Sulman Villalta-Zelaya in the fatal stabbing of 29-year-old Kevin Murcua-Regalado that occurred Sunday, January 28, 2024, in the 1400 block of Fuselage Avenue, 21220. Villalta-Zelaya has been charged with first-degree murder. He is currently being held at the Baltimore County Detention Center without bond.

The male subject located on Sunday by officers assigned to the Essex Precinct has been identified as 29-year-old Kevin Murcua-Regalado. At approximately 7 a.m., officers responded to the 1400 block of Fuselage Ave. for a reported motor vehicle crash. Upon arrival, officers located an adult male driver inside the vehicle, who was unresponsive. Medics transported the adult male to an area hospital, where he was pronounced deceased. The victim suffered injuries to his upper body. The cause of those injuries remains under investigation.
