Crisis Negotiation Team on scene of Barricade in Cockeysville Precinct

The barricade came to an end at approximately 9:15 p.m. on Saturday. The occupant of the vehicle suffered from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.

There is currently a police presence near the entrance of the NCR Trail located at Paper Mill Road. At around 9:15 a.m., officers were called to the location due to a suspicious vehicle parked in the lot with a sign on its window that asked police be contacted. Upon arrival, the officers found the vehicle and set up a perimeter while requesting assistance from the crisis negotiation team and tactical unit.

The situation is currently being treated as a barricade with a suspected armed subject. The PIO is available at the media staging site located at 11050 York Road. Motorists can expect possible road closures as members of the Baltimore County Police Department work to peacefully resolve the situation.
