At approximately 11:25 a.m., officers assigned to the Baltimore County Police Department Pikesville Precinct responded to a 911 call for a report of a domestic disturbance involving a male with a gun in the 400 block of Reisterstown Road. When officers arrived at the location, they were told the suspect had left the location on foot. As officers were canvassing the area, officers located the suspect inside a nearby gas station at which time the suspect pointed his weapon at the officers. Officers were able to retreat outside the gas station where they declared a barricade. The suspect sustained life-threatening injuries after exiting the location and engaging officers. Officers rendered emergency medical aid. A total of three Baltimore County Police officers discharged their firearms. All three members were equipped with body-worn cameras. The injured subject was transported to an area hospital where he was pronounced deceased. No officers or other members of the public were injured during this incident. One handgun was recovered near the suspect. Members of the Independent Investigations Division of the Office of the Attorney General will be investigating this officer-involved shooting. Pursuant to policy, the officers are on administrative leave.
