Detectives Investigate Circumstances Surrounding Fatal Pedestrian Crash in Dundalk

TOWSON, MD (December 3, 2023) - At approximately 11 a.m., on Saturday, December 2, 2023, officers from the Dundalk Precinct responded to the intersection of Jaydee Avenue and German Hill Road, 21222, for a motor vehicle crash that involved a pedestrian injury. Preliminarily, detectives with the Baltimore County Police Department Crash Team determined 54-year-old Dayton Balliet Jr. was lying on the ground working on a 2005 Chrysler PT Cruiser that was on a jack when a Toyota Sienna attempting to park behind the Chrysler struck it which pushed the Chrysler off its jack. Mr. Balliet was transported to an area hospital, where he was pronounced deceased. Crash team detectives are overseeing this investigation, which remains ongoing.
