On Sunday, July 9, 2023, at approximately 6:45 p.m., officers with the Baltimore County Police Department responded just past the intersection of Belair Road and Miller Road, 21128, for a motor vehicle collision. Detectives with the Baltimore County Police Crash Team determined a 2018 Chevrolet Impala was traveling southbound on Belair Road when it cross both northbound lanes and ran off the roadway into a wooded area. The driver of the Chevrolet, 88-year-old Joseph Sobolewski, was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced deceased on July 10, 2023.
This crash remains under investigation by members of the Baltimore County Crash Team.
