On Friday, July 7, 2023, at approximately 4:15 a.m., officers with the Baltimore County Police Department responded to the area of North Point Road and Main Avenue, 21219, for a motor vehicle collision. Detectives with the Baltimore County Police Crash Team determined a 2022 Nissan Altima was traveling southbound on North Point Road when it overrode a curb and struck a stop sign before coming to a final rest in a ditch on the west side of the roadway. The driver of the Nissan, 54-year-old Jerry L Werner, was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.
This crash remains under investigation by members of the Baltimore County Crash Team.
