Baltimore County Homicide Detectives arrested 46-year-old Matthew Wright in the fatal shooting of 26-year-old Adrian Hutton. On June 27, Hutton was found seriously injured in the Unit block of S. Marlyn Ave. Wright has been charged with second-degree murder and remains at the Baltimore County Detention Center held without bond.

26-year-old Adrian Hutton suffered a fatal injury on Tuesday, June 27, 2023, in the unit block of S. Marlyn Ave. The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner will determine cause of death. This remains an open investigation. Updates will be provided as additional information becomes available.

Detectives with the Baltimore County Police Department responded to the Unit Block of S. Marlyn Ave., 21221, at approximately 11:30 a.m. for a report of an injured person. When officers arrived at the scene, they located an adult male subject suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. The victim has been transported to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries. Detectives are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding this incident.
