Homicide Detectives Investigate Shooting in Wilkens

At approximately 7:40 p.m., Baltimore County police officers from Precinct-1 Wilkens responded to a reported shooting in the 400 block of Bigley Ave. near Lakebrook Circle, 21227. When officers arrived on scene, they located an adult male outside, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the upper body. Medics transported the male victim, 29-year-old Brian Barber, to an area hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased. Preliminarily, it is believed this was a targeted and isolated incident. Detectives are asking anyone with information about this incident to contact 410-307-2020. Information may also be provided through the Baltimore County Police Department iWATCH program. Callers may remain anonymous and be eligible for a reward when submitting tips through Metro Crime Stoppers.
