Suspect in Custody following the Deaths of Great-Grandmother and Grandfather

Baltimore County detectives are investigating the circumstances surrounding the deaths of an 86-year-old woman and a 73-year-old man in the 3500 block of Cabot Rd., 21133. The two were located Sunday evening after patrol officers responded to a call to check on their welfare. There was concern after they were unable to be contacted. Officers located the man and woman while canvassing an area outside the home. Both were pronounced deceased by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner. Baltimore County Homicide detectives have charged 24-year-old Kennard Goins with two counts of first-degree murder in the deaths of his great-grandmother and grandfather. Goins is being held at the Baltimore County Detention Center without bond.
