Student Assaulted at Lansdowne High School

Shortly before 1 p.m., a Baltimore County Police Department School Resource Officer assigned to Lansdowne High School was notified of a first-degree assault that was occurring inside the school. The officer and his supervisor immediately apprehended the suspect and began aiding the 15-year-old victim. The injured student was transported to an area hospital with serious injuries. A juvenile suspect who also attends Lansdowne High School has been taken into custody. The investigation surrounding this incident and the circumstances leading up to it remains ongoing. While afternoon dismissal occurred on schedule, all afterschool activities have been canceled.
