Vernon Melvin Green
1990 Homicide Victim
On Friday, January 5, 1990 around 1:50 a.m., Vernon Melvin Green and his roommates were watching a basketball game on television. Mr. Green, also known as "Peanut" to his friends, left his apartment located in the 3000 block of Essex Road, 21207 and went outside.
After a short time, neighbors in the area heard voices and arguing. Gunshots were then heard. Some of the neighbors went outside and found Mr. Green lying on the sidewalk with a gunshot to his head.
Baltimore County Police responded to the scene and determined that Mr. Green was dead. He was 26 years old.
