EPS Variances

The Department of Environmental Protection and Sustainability (EPS) publishes a list of the environmental administrative variance requests along with their status. The requests are listed by County Council District.

Planning Board Meetings

The board will meet virtually as follows:

Planning Board Capital Improvement Program Meetings

The board will meet virtually through Webex as follows:

  • Thursday, January 21, at 4 p.m.—At 4 p.m., the County Executive will present the Capital Improvement Program. At 5:30 p.m., a Capital Improvement Program Presentation will be delivered by the Department of Public Works and Transportation and Transportation.
  • Tuesday, January 26, at 5:30 p.m.—Capital Improvement Program Presentations will be delivered by the Department of Environmental Protection and Sustainability, the Office of Information Technology, and the Department of Planning.
  • Thursday, January 28, at 5:30 p.m.—Capital Improvement Program Presentations will be delivered by the Department of Recreation and Parks, the Office of Budget and Finance, and Property Management.

Wise Avenue Drawbridge

The Wise Avenue Drawbridge (Bridge B-0079) over Bear Creek is scheduled for repairs. In December, County contractors inspected the structure during the week of December 21, raising and lowering the drawbridge for close examination. The bridge will be closed in January for two weeks (January 11 to 22) to complete the work. The repairs are expected to reduce bridge noise, say engineers.

Gray Manor Sewer Shed Structural Rehabilitation

Baltimore County contractors began an extensive rehabilitation of the Gray Manor Sewer Shed in mid-December. Crews will reline 37,369 feet of eight-inch and 36-inch sewer pipe in a project that is anticipated to take more than a year to complete. Preliminary site work began in late December.

Dundalk Avenue Streetscape Improvements

The Department of Public Works and Transportation and Transportation has begun upgrading the existing streetscape on Dundalk Avenue. The project will include ADA ramps and thermoplastic crosswalks. The revitalized avenue is expected to cost $600,000. Work will be completed in the spring.

Blenhurst Pumping Station

The Department of Public Works and Transportation and Transportation has been renovating the Blenhurst Sewage Pumping Station at 8345 Bletzer Road. The project, which is 94 percent complete, will cost $2,633,500.
