Creative enterprises are the backbone of the Catonsville A&E District, with a number of artist-run businesses, locally-owned restaurants and boutiques dotting the commercial corridor of Frederick Road. From Bill’s Music, Trax on Wax and Baltimore Brass Company, to SugarBakers, State Fare and DOMAIN, the local businesses and patrons are bringing “Music City Maryland” to life. The District is also home to the Lurman Woodland Theatre, a community-run, open-air theater that has been hosting thousands of residents annually during their popular summer concert series for decades.
