Arbutus Senior Center

The Arbutus Senior Center is located at 855A Sulphur Spring Road, right next to the library. Membership is open to those age 60 and older. The thriving community is happy to welcome and provide resources to seniors from all over Baltimore County, including Arbutus, Catonsville, Halethorpe, Relay and beyond! Non-county residents are also welcome to participate when space is available. There are no fees to join the center.

• Two craft rooms, one with a kiln

PROGRAMS AND ACTIVITIES

We offer a variety of activities for you to explore. View a list of programs, activities and upcoming events in the most recent edition of "The Link," the Arbutus Senior Center's monthly newsletter. Our offerings include:

• Art classes and crafting activities: stained glass, watercolor, ceramics or pottery, card making, crafts
• Fitness classes: Drums Alive!, Tai Chi, aerobics, water aerobics, GeriFit, chair yoga, line dance and Zumba
• Bingo every Tuesday
• Recreational activities: mahjong, canasta, dominoes, guitar, card and board games, book club, needlecrafts club and stamp club
• Physical activities: ping pong, basketball and pickleball
• Eating Together Program: lunch is offered on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays at noon. Participants must reserve a meal in advance. Individuals 60 years and older are requested to make an anonymous donation to offset the cost of the meal
• Socialization opportunities and special events throughout the year such as concerts and musical entertainment, dances, trivia, seasonal parties, lectures, workshops, movies and more
• Travel opportunities
