At approximately 5 p.m. on May 17, an unknown suspect threatened the victim with a weapon. The suspect was arrested.

MAY 17: FIRST-DEGREE BURGLARY, 4700 BLOCK OF ALDGATE GRN, 21227

May 17, 2025

At approximately 5 a.m. on May 17, an unknown suspect burglarized the location and stole property.

May 17, 2025

At approximately 2:30 a.m. on May 17, an unknown suspect assaulted the victim with a weapon before fleeing.

ABOUT THE COMMANDER

Portrait of Captain Joseph Peach

Captain Joseph Peach is proud to be assigned to lead the Essex Precinct.  He looks forward to working with the community to build meaningful partnerships, raising awareness to prevent crime, and working to apprehend those who commit criminal acts. Captain Peach is a lifelong resident of Eastern Baltimore County. He started his career with the Baltimore County Police Department in 1994. Upon completion of the Police Academy, he was assigned to the Essex Precinct as a patrol officer.

  • 2000—Assigned to Special Operations Section, K-9 Unit
  • 2006—Promoted to Corporal and assigned to the Essex Precinct
  • 2008—Promoted to Sergeant and assigned to the Dundalk Precinct
  • 2010—Promoted to Lieutenant and assigned as a shift commander at the Pikesville Precinct
  • 2011—Transferred to the Essex Precinct as a shift commander
  • 2012—Assigned to Special Operations Section, K-9 Unit, as the Unit Commander
  • 2015-2017—In addition to being Commander of the K-9 Unit Commander, he was assigned to the Commander of the Marine Unit
  • 2018—Assigned to the Parkville Precinct as a shift commander
  • 2021—Assigned to the Training Section as the Entrance Level Training Unit Commander
  • 2022—Assigned within the Training Section as the Unit Commander for the Firearms, In-Service and Specialized Training Teams
  • 2023—Promoted to Captain and assigned as Commander the Essex Precinct

In addition to the above-assigned duties, Captain Peach was also a member of the Special Response Team from 1997 to 2000. He later served as a supervisory member of the Dignitary/Witness Protection Team from 2006 to 2010. From 2010 to 2012, while at the rank of Lieutenant, he was appointed as the Assistant Commander for the Team.
