- As Halloween approaches, Baltimore County Fire Department has provided some indoor and outdoor safety tips to help keep Halloween as carefree and exciting as it is should be.
Online Resources Outside Baltimore County
- The Federal Bureau of Investigation's (FBI) Crimes Against Children (CAC) Program provides a quick and effective response to all incidences of crimes against children. The CAC Program strategy is to decrease the vulnerability of children to acts of sexual exploitation and abuse; develop a nationwide capacity to provide a rapid, effective, and measured investigative response to crimes involving the victimization of children; and enhance the capabilities of state and local law enforcement investigators through training programs, investigative assistance, and task force operations.
- National Crime Prevention Council's mission is to forge a nationwide commitment by people acting individually and together to prevent crime and build safer, more caring communities. The Council tries to teach kids how to be safe on the streets by providing information about general child safety including stranger danger, internet safety, and Halloween safety. The National Crime Prevention Council administers the National Citizens' Crime Prevention Campaign, whose public service ads have made McGruff "The Crime Dog," his nephew, Scruff and "TAKE A BITE OUT OF CRIME" national symbols for crime prevention.
