Five civilians and a career firefighter were transported to hospitals following an early morning, two-alarm apartment fire in Randallstown.

Three civilians were transported to Sinai Hospital with serious but non life-threatening injuries. Two civilians were transported to Sinai with minor injuries.

The  BCoFD firefighter was transported to Northwest Hospital with minor injuries.

At least 40 people were displaced from their homes.

Crews were dispatched at 2:16 a.m. to the 3400 block of Barry Paul Rd., 21133, where Engine 18 (Randallstown) arrived to find the apartment building fully involved, with fire through the roof. Commanders quickly called for a second alarm and searched the building to make sure no one was trapped. 

Firefighters moved to defensive operations at 3:07 a.m., fighting the fire from the outside. Crews knocked the fire at 3:33 a.m. 

About 30 pieces of equipment responded to this incident. 

The cause remains under investigation by BCoPD fire investigators.

Just after 10 p.m. on Friday, March 29, Baltimore County Police responded to the 3400-block of Barry Paul Road, 21133 for a shooting. Arriving officers located the victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Police have determined that the victim was approached by a suspect while the victim was walking up to his residence. The suspect then fired several shots at the victim. Detectives are continuing their investigation at this time.

The victim as been identified as DeAndre Rashad Miller, 30, of the 3400-block of Barry Paul Road, 21133. A pedestrian struck by a vehicle while crossing Barry Paul Road in Randallstown last night has died.

Regina Diane Howard (57) of the 3400 block of Barry Paul Road, 21133 was struck by a Honda Accord that had just turned onto Barry Paul Road from Old Court Road when she stepped off the curb and into the roadway around 8:44 p.m. The driver of the Honda remained at the scene. Regina Howard was transported to R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma in critical condition, where she died this evening.

The Baltimore County Police Crash Investigation Team continues to investigate this crash but do not believe that either the driver or the pedestrian was impaired at the time of the crash.
