Fire Chief Joanne Rund has announced the promotion of three officers to the rank of Fire Captain. They are:

  • Fire Lt. Eric Cole
  • Fire Lt. Scott Ebbert
  • Fire Lt. Frank Hudnet

The promotions are effective May 23, 2020. 

Police are investigating after a man walked into a hospital with a gunshot wound.

The preliminary investigation revealed that just before 1 a.m., May 17, a 29-year-old man was shot by an unknown suspect while in the 2000 block of Northeast Avenue, 21227. He sustained a non life-threatening injury to his upper body, was treated and released.

Baltimore County Violent Crime detectives are investigating the circumstances surrounding this incident. Anyone who has any information is asked to contact detectives by calling 410-307-2020. Callers may remain anonymous and may be eligible for a reward when submitting tips through Metro Crime Stoppers.

Reward Offered

Metro Crime Stoppers of Maryland, an organization that is separate from the Baltimore County Police Department and Baltimore County Government, offers rewards of up to $2,000 for information that leads to the arrest and charges in connection with felony offenses.
