Update (August 16, 2019): 

The suspect involved in the August 15th assault on the County officer has been identified as Anthony Lance Coley, 35, of the 4700-block of Mawani Road, 21206. Coley has been charged with attempted first degree murder, attempted second degree murder and numerous firearm-related charges. He is currently being held at the Baltimore County Department of Corrections on denied bail status. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Original Release (August 15, 2019):

Just after 2:30 am on August 15, 2019, a Baltimore County Police officer was in the area of Springwood Road and Marglenn Road, 21206 when he saw a man holding a handgun while walking down the middle of Marglenn Road. The officer got out of his car and ordered the suspect to show his hands. The suspect ignored the officer’s commands and then ran down Marglenn then onto Raspe Avenue. Once on Raspe, the suspect fired his weapon at the officer. The officer was not struck or injured by the gunfire. The officer lost sight of the suspect and did not fire his service weapon during the altercation.

The suspect was located and arrested without any further incident on Old Home Road. Police recovered two handguns in the area of the 400-block of Old Home Road.

This is an on-going investigation and additional information will be provided as the details become available. Charges are pending against the suspect at this time. 

Just before 11:30 p.m. on August 14, 2019, Baltimore County Police responded to the intersection of Philadelphia Road and New Forge Road, 21162 for a pedestrian-involved crash. Investigation determined that a 2005 Buick was traveling eastbound on Philadelphia Road when the car struck the pedestrian who was walking against the flow of traffic in the middle of Philadelphia Road.

The pedestrian was transported to a local hospital but was pronounced deceased. She has been identified as Adrianne Bacardi Dietrich, 35, with an unknown last address. The Driver remained at the scene. Crash officers are continuing their investigation at this time.
