Register and Request a Ballot Today

If you live in Congressional District 7 and have not registered to vote, you have until 11:59 p.m. today to register and request a ballot be sent to you electronically.

The special election for Maryland's Congressional District 7 (CD 7) to fill the House of Representatives vacancy is a vote-by-mail election with limited in-person voting on election day. All registered voters in CD 7 received a ballot in the mail at the address in their voter registration record.

To receive a ballot electronically, residents in CD 7 who are eligible to vote but are not yet registered, including 17-year-olds who will be 18 on or before the April 28, 2020 Special General Election, should register. This is also the last day for registered voters who want to receive a ballot electronically to update their address.

Residents with a Maryland driver's license or MVA-issued ID may register to vote or change their address online. We strongly encourage voters to verify if the address in their voter registration is correct.

Voters and members of the military, their spouses, and dependents who are overseas and who do not have a Maryland driver's license or MVA-issued ID, may also register or change their address online using different identifying information.

Due to the spread of COVID-19, paper voter registration applications must be sent to the local Board of Elections by mail, postmarked no later than April 24.

Eligible voters will receive an email with information on how to get the ballot. A voter may wish to use the accessible online ballot marking tool to mark the ballot.
