The County is taking a number of actions to keep residents safe and minimize the spread of COVID-19. Find status information for County operations and services.
Find Local Councils, Offices and Programs
The Department of Recreation and Parks works in partnership with 39 volunteer recreation and parks councils and five agriculture, nature and special facilities councils to sponsor a wide range of leisure programs, activities and special events throughout the County.
Volunteer Recreation and Parks and Nature Councils
In cooperation with the Department of Recreation and Parks, Recreation and Parks and Nature Councils establish and operate programs for which local need and interest is expressed. Each Council also sponsors special events such as picnics, parties, parades, contests, performances, art shows, etc. for the benefit of the local community.
