The building provides an exhibit hall, classrooms and outdoor decks with picnic tables. The park features a canoe launch, bridge and overlook, and over eight miles of hiking trails, including three self-guided nature trails, which include a self-guided paddle trail on Dundee Creek and a paved accessible trail. Guided canoe trips are offered to explore the coastal forests, marshes and shallow waters of Dundee and Saltpeter Creeks. A variety of programs and special events are available for individuals and groups of all ages. All groups must contact the nature center prior to their visit.

Programs are provided for the public to enjoy the seasonal changes and abundant wildlife in this unspoiled setting on the Chesapeake Bay. Hands-on environmental education programs for schools and scout groups are offered on a variety of topics. Please contact the nature center for more information.

Monthly Lecture Series

The Nature Center Council provides a monthly lecture series featuring photographers, authors, scientists and watermen to share their insight. Lectures are held at 7 p.m., the third Tuesday each month (no meetings July or August).
