Baltimore County operates a single-stream materials recovery facility (MRF) at 10275 Beaver Dam Road, Cockeysville, Maryland 21030. The facility processes:

  • Aluminum
  • Cardboard
  • Paper
  • Plastic variants
  • Steel cans

The County markets recovered recyclable material on a monthly basis. We accept bids for the next month’s materials approximately 10 working days prior to the end of the current month. Bids are due four days prior to the last working day before the end of the month (the schedule may change for holidays). The County will email pricing requests to vendors who have purchased or expressed interest in purchasing recyclable commodities. Pricing requests will also be posted on this page.

Submit Your Bid

Bidding is now open. To start the bidding process, submit your bid on the Recycled Materials Bid Form or email recyclingbids@baltimorecountymd.gov. Prior to submitting your bid, review the solicitation document below for each material you bid on and Attachments A, B and C. Bids will be accepted through Tuesday, March 26, at noon.

Quality Tests

The next quality test will be held on Tuesday, April 16, at 10 a.m. If you are interested in observing, email recyclingbids@baltimorecountymd.gov to coordinate a visit. The next bid period is scheduled to start on Wednesday, April 17, with bids due on Thursday, April 25, at noon.
