UPDATE (November 25, 2020 3:13 p.m.):

Baltimore County Police Homicide detectives have charged Davon Dominic Curry (32) of the 9000 block of Rock Ledge Court, 21117 in the shooting death of Dwayne Edward Elliott 3rd in Owings Mills last month.

Elliott was found shot inside his vehicle on Christo Court the evening of October 12. Detectives determined that Elliott made plans to meet with Curry for an illicit drug transaction and during their encounter Curry shot Elliott and fled the scene.

Curry is charged with first degree murder and the use of a firearm in the commission of a violent crime. He remains held on no bond status following a bail review hearing earlier today.

Original Release (October 13, 2020 10:13 p.m.):

On October 12 just after 6 p.m., police responded to the 9200 block of Christo Court, 21117 for a call of a shooting. Responding officers found the victim, Dwayne Edward Elliott 3rd (25) of the 2700 block of W. North Avenue, 21216, suffering a gunshot wound to the upper body.

The preliminary investigation determined that the victim was shot while in his vehicle. Officers performed CPR on the victim before he was transported to the R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center where he was pronounced deceased.

Detectives from the Baltimore County Police Homicide Unit are investigating the circumstances surrounding this murder and ask anyone who may have information to contact them by calling 410-307-2020.
