October 08, 2020

The first Faith and Blue weekend is scheduled for October 9-12. This event is supported by most major national law enforcement groups and has been embraced by religious communities nationwide.

Chief Melissa R. Hyatt has invited Baltimore County faith-based organizations to participate in this event, which is sponsored by the U.S. Department of Justice, Office of Community Oriented Policing Services. “COVID-19 has made community engagement challenging. This weekend provides an opportunity to re-establish and build relationships, communicate, collaborate and break down barriers,” said Chief Hyatt.

Faith and Blue is based on the premise that strong communities are built on mutual respect and understanding. Neighborhoods thrive when faith-based organizations and law enforcement work together to make communities safer and stronger.

The following is a list of events that are scheduled throughout Baltimore County. These events are also posted on the Faith and Blue website under the Events tab.

Participants are reminded to wear a mask and maintain social distancing. Keep checking this list for updates.
