Detectives Charge Male with Second Degree Rape

Detectives from Baltimore County’s Special Victims Unit arrested, and charged 71-year-old Michael Browning on September 27, 2022 with Second Degree Rape and Second Degree Assault. Through investigation, it was determined that over a six month time frame Michael Browning sexually assaulted the victim several times. These assaults occurred while he was employed by The Maryland Park Service as the Park Manager for Gunpowder Falls State Park.

 Michael Browning is currently being held without bail at the Baltimore County Detention Center.

Detectives are seeking information from anyone with knowledge about this case, or any other potential victims.
