On July 31, 2022 at approximately 10:15 p.m., Baltimore County police officers responded to Greenspring Avenue near Tufton for a reported vehicle crash. When officers arrived they located a 2019 Kia Sorento. Investigators determined the vehicle was traveling northbound on Greenspring Avenue when it traveled off the roadway striking a fence before coming to a rest in a field. The driver of the Kia was transported to an area hospital suffering from life-threatening injuries. On August 1, 2022 Catherine Pratt, the 19 year old driver of the Kia, was pronounced deceased.
The cause of this crash remains under investigation by Baltimore County police.
