On Friday, Baltimore County detectives filed criminal charges against the two individuals injured in the double-shooting that occurred Tuesday morning in Essex.  Both defendants have been charged with CDS possession with intent to distribute and firearm-related charges, which stem from illicit drugs and a weapon detectives discovered in the defendants’ vehicle.

On July 26, 2022, at approximately 10:15 a.m., officers responded to the intersection of Compass Road & Martin Boulevard following reports of a shooting. When officers arrived, they located a 43-year-old male and a 42-year-old female suffering from gunshot wounds. Based on cell phone video provided to detectives, at least one automatic weapon was used to commit this crime, which detectives believe was a targeted shooting.

As the search for the shooter(s) in this case continues, detectives are asking anyone who may have information about this case to call 410-307-2020

As Baltimore County detectives continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding Tuesday’s shooting, near Compass Road and Martin Boulevard in Middle River, residents are being asked to provide any information they may have in reference to the incident. Based on cell phone video provided to detectives, at least one automatic weapon was used to commit this crime.

On July 26, 2022, at approximately 10:15 a.m., officers were dispatched to the intersection of Compass Road & Martin Boulevard for reports of a double shooting. When officers arrived on scene, they located a 43-year-old male and a 42-year-old female suffering from gunshot wounds. Medics transported both shooting victims to an area hospital for treatment.

Detectives from the Violent Crimes Unit are investigating this case, and believe this was a targeted incident. They are asking anyone who may have information about this case to call 410-307-2020.
