The U.S. Department of Transportation’s National Highway Traffic Safety Administration today announced the 2021 NHTSA Public Service Awards.

During the virtual event, Baltimore County Police Officer Frank Enko was presented with the Lifesavers Award.

The award recognizes and honors individuals and organizations for achievements in the field of traffic safety.

During his career with the Baltimore County Police Department, Officer Enko has trained more than 20,000 police officers from around the country in traffic safety. The topics range from impaired driving to crash investigations.

This is the highest honor the NHTSA can bestow upon individual.
