UPDATE (December 28, 2020 11:49 a.m.):

The woman who crashed into a Baltimore County Police patrol car early Saturday morning is identified as Jumana Abdel-Hamid Alhamarneh (33) of no fixed address. 

Further investigation revealed that Alhamarneh was briefly staying with someone in Pennsylvania before stealing their Lincoln Town Car Friday night. Officers from the Pennsylvania State Police were in the process of conducting a stolen vehicle investigation at the time that Alhamarneh crashed the Lincoln into the patrol car on Pulaski Highway just after midnight Saturday morning.

A warrant was issued by the Pennsylvania State Police for the vehicle theft. Alhamarneh is additionally charged in Baltimore County with "Fugitive from Justice - PA" and is held on no bail status pending a bail review hearing.

Original Release (December 26, 2020 1:55 p.m.):

Officers arrested a suspect after she crashed into a Baltimore County Police patrol car this morning.

Just after 12 a.m. on December 26, Officers from the White Marsh precinct responded to the 8400 block of Pulaski Highway, 21237 after a patrol officer was struck by a stolen 2007 Lincoln Town Car.

The investigation revealed that the officer was stationary inside of his marked patrol car working DUI enforcement when the suspect lost control of the Lincoln and struck the patrol car on the driver side. The officer was transported to R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center with non-life threatening injuries and has since been released.

The suspect was apprehended and also transported to an area hospital. She is expected to survive her injuries.

The identity of the suspect, an adult woman, is withheld pending formal charges.
